Step 1: Start by taping off beneath the taillight and at the front most corner of the light. This will ensure no damage to the paint during removal.
Step 2: Open rear trunk and locate the rubber grommet (Black), one per side, on the side of the rear housing.
Step 3: After removal of the grommet, remove the 10mm screw retaining the light in the housing. (located behind the Grommet)
Step 4: Once the 10mm is removed, it is time to pull the taillight from the inner housing grommet. They tend to be a very tight fit and require a great deal of pressure to dislodge them.
Step 5: using a panel pry tool, place it to the most forward section (nearest to the front end of vehicle) of the taillight in between the body and gently pry straight back (to rear of vehicle) being cautious that the taillight doesn’t fly out.
Step 6: Placing a hand on the most inner section of the taillight and pulling as well, aids in ease of removal, while the pressure and pull is equal over the taillight.
Step 7: Unplug taillight from plug and you are complete!
